GOD, WHY ME? SoulQuest Story

 



"Kaima, you need to stop crying. You've barely touched your meal".

 "For how long will you continue to wallow in tears?" Lamide consoled Kaima.

"Stop crying you say? Is it that easy? After all my expectations, I get paid in a horrible way, and you say, I should stop crying?" Kaima said, still crying.

 "Yes, dear. You have to pick up yourself and move on. It's definitely not going to be easy, that I know. But then, you need to move on. You've got a bright future ahead of you" Lamide said.

 "It's not easy moving on, Lamide. It's not!

"Many years after my marriage; many years of waiting and trusting God. After so many years of soaking my pillows with tears".

 "After so many years of being mocked, God finally answered me, but, just in a blink, my world crumbles again".

It's not going to be easy moving on" Kaima cried out.


"Kaima, only God understands why the baby had to die. You know the doctors said you are suffering from a heart failure which will still affect the child after birth. God understands why He took the child before time, and He will definitely give you another child and heal your heart failure " Lamide said trying to console Kaima.

 

"Lamide, Kaima called out. Can I ask you a question?

 "Why did God take the life of the innocent child? That sounds like killing an innocent baby. People will think I aborted the child. God should have allowed me deliver the baby first…"

"Does God really approve the death of innocent babies?"

ARE THINGS RIGHT BECAUSE GOD APPROVES IT? OR, GOD APPROVES IT BECAUSE IT IS RIGHT?" Kaima asked.

 

"Listen, Kaima, God is the only authority in defining what is right or wrong. You didn’t intentionally go against His wish. Let’s give God the chance and see what He will bring out of it.

The doctor said you're suffering from heart failure, and the death of the baby is better for you; at least you will be treated and healed before another baby comes. Try and understand, Kiama."

 

"Now, back to your question, Kaima.

Take a look at Hosea in the Bible days, do you remember the part of the scripture where God asked him to marry an adulteress?"


"God literally asked him to marry an adulteress. Now, will you say God went back on His words? Remember, it's the same Bible that told us not to be 'UNEQUALLY YOKED'".

 "What would you say if a Christian friend claimed God had told him to marry an immoral woman?"

"To say the least, you’d have reservations, right? You’d probably tell him what the Bible says about being 'unequally yoked' and warned him of the dangers of ungodly relationships.

 But what should we make of the fact that God seems to have told Hosea to do exactly that?"


"Now you see, God did not approve anything because of its pure state. Rather, It's pure because God approves of it. It's God's approval that makes things pure. If God never approves it, then, it's not pure."

 "God intentionally took the baby’s life to save your life. I believe God has a definite purpose for you and He will fulfill it."

 "So, dear, Kaima, it's God's approval that makes anything pure."

 

Dear reader, you may be somewhat perplexed at God’s commandment and happenings around you. You may be wondering what the exact truth is. You don’t have to be in such dilemma. God’s statement of what is pious or not is sovereign to Him alone. So our duty is to trust Him and obey His present command to us, because He understands better than we do. You may have many unanswered questions, but God has all the answers and He will definitely bring solution to all your confusions.

According to an article published by the BMJ careers and mental health practitioners, after carrying out a research on a total of 350 suicide reports gathered from 10 english newspapers in Nigeria between January 2010 and December 2019, the mean age of reported cases was 36 years old, majorly male (80%), married (51%) and students (34%).
